This John Boos Blended Walnut Kitchen Counter Top is both attractive and functional, providing a tough duty cutting surface everywhere you need it. Each counter top is constructed with full length exterior rails and random finger-jointed interior rails, adding unique color variations. The top is made from top grade American Black walnut that was sustainably harvested, and is finished with a food-safe penetrating oil, the same factory finish John Boos uses with their world famous cutting boards and butcher blocks.

The oil finish is absorbed into the wood fibers, helping with water resistance and spill clean-up. John Boos recommends oiling this countertop periodically using their John Boos Mystery Oil (sold separately on Amazon) to preserve its beauty and durability. These highly functional countertops are easy-care alternatives to granite or stone counters, and can be used as a food prep and cutting surface.

Varnique (sealed/finished) versions of this countertop are available and sold separately. It is important to note that this is not a reversible countertop. The reverse side (that will be installed facing downwards) can sometimes include slight irregularities, such as a nick, in the wood. These irregularities are intentional, as they are part of the commitment to sustainability and respecting all parts of the wood. Any such irregularity would be very small, on the reverse side, and will not impact the function or use of the top.
