The John Boos Blended Walnut Kitchen Counter Top is an attractive and functional piece that provides a tough duty cutting surface wherever it is needed. Crafted from top-grade American Black walnut that was sustainably harvested, each counter top is finished with a food-safe penetrating oil, the same factory finish used on John Boos' world-famous cutting boards and butcher blocks. This oil finish is absorbed into the wood fibers, enhancing water resistance and making spill clean-up easier. The countertops are constructed with full-length exterior rails and random finger-jointed interior rails. During installation, it is important to note that an overhang of 8 inches or more (width) and 12 inches or more (length) must be stabilized with support. These beautiful blended walnut countertops are made in the USA by skilled craftspeople and are designed to enhance and complement any style of kitchen design or décor.

These highly functional countertops are easy-care alternatives to granite or stone counters and can be used as food prep and cutting surfaces. Varnique (sealed/finished) versions of this countertop are available and sold separately. It is important to note that this is not a reversible countertop. The reverse side (that will be installed facing downwards) may sometimes include slight irregularities, such as a small nick, in the wood. These irregularities are intentional, as they are a result of the sustainable approach to utilizing all parts of the wood. Any such irregularity would be very small, located on the reverse side, and would not indicate a defect or impact the function or use of the top.
